Lunch behind duomo. A plate of cheese is a plate of cheese no bread just large slices of cheese. Delicious but hard to eat. I of course will suffer through.

Florence on a sunny Sunday in October is molto crowded. I had five hours from arrival until I could check into mama’s. So I was hot and tired on my first walk through town. You could not stir the people around the duomo so I headed off to other sights. But people were everywhere. I crossed over the altro river and saw the Piti Palace for the first time. I have to wait till Tuesday to go in. I can’t pick up my museum pass until then. I had my first gelato strolling the streets on conaltro. It was delicious.
