About

I love to travel the longer the trip the better. I will pretty much go anywhere at anytime. If someone asks me to go on a trip my only question is when. It doesn’t really matter where I am usually up for it.

Most years I try to get it one long trip, 10 – 15 days, and several weekend trips. To me a weekend starts on Thursday and goes through Monday. Not that two days is not
long enough for a trip, it just wouldn’t be my preference.

Italy is my favorite destination, but I also love New England, Scotland and pretty much anywhere there is water. Give me a beach where I need a sweater and I am in heaven.

I am also a big history nerd and love learning about and then seeing places where major historical events have taken place, hence my love of planning. My sisters will say it is because I am a control freak and there is some truth to that, but I just love thinking about the trip. If you don’t know where your going and what your going to see how can you build up the excitement. Anticipation is half the fun.

Of course there are those that say it is the spontaneous unplanned events that make a trip special and I don’t disagree with that. However, without all the careful preplanning you would not have been at that location at just the perfect time to have that totally random spontaneous good time.

So here’s to planning and experiencing all the world has to offer. At least all the world with running water, flushing toilets, beautiful beaches and historic significance.
