It was a hard first day at sea. The triumph is not a huge ship and it was a really rough sea leaving Galveston. We rocked up and down and side to side. Everyone felt a little bad. Some of us worse than others.

I started my day with a massage and it went bad from there. We had a lot of alcohol night one and I paid for today. I tried to nip it in the bud but the blood Mary I had at breakfast didn’t help. Embarrassingly I had to go back to the room for a nap. Everyone else went to the pool area and watched the hairy chest competition. I hate to say I am sorry I missed it but they talked it up so it sounded fun.

I rallied after my nap at least well enough to have a hamburger and fries at the poolside buffet. It was delicious they claim it is a Guy Fieri and I beleive it.

It was cloudy and cool in the afternoon so poolside was not the best but we did it. We eventually made our way into the hot tub, which was our best entertainment of the day. There was a “cruise couple” making out, a Jennifer garner look a like, a Lebanese couple with quite a bit of flesh on display and two 19 yoa boys that couldn’t seem to look away. It was a crazy hot tub dynamic and eventually we had to get out.

It was lobster and shrimp night for dinner and everyone was dressed to the nines. It was great people watching. Cruise elegant means different things to different people. Some people barely had on any clothes and it didn’t matter the age.

We planned to do the show after dinner but didn’t make it. Jennifer and I were relapsing and decided to go on to bed early. Both excited about being on land tomorrow.
